Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about the Port’s activities and achievements over the past year, meet our dedicated team and Board of Directors, and gain insight into our plans for the future. This important event reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and community engagement – while celebrating the continued growth and success of the Port of Corner Brook.
World Ocean Day
Each June, we’re proud to take part in World Ocean Day — a global celebration of our shared oceans and a reminder of the importance of sustainable marine practices. The Corner Brook Port Corporation uses this day to highlight environmental initiatives underway at the Port and within the broader cruise industry. We also love engaging with local youth through contests and special giveaways — including opportunities for school groups to enjoy guided tours of the Port on cruise days.
Community Port Day
Launched in 2024 as part of our 20th anniversary, Community Port Day gives a firsthand look at the excitement of cruise days in Corner Brook – and was so warmly received it became an annual tradition.
Each year, we invite the public to experience our cruise welcome program, explore the dock, and enjoy local markets, live entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. 2025 also introduced a behind-the-scenes look at cargo operations, a feature we plan to continue as we showcase all facets of Port life.
Community Port Day is our way of celebrating our region’s role in global trade and tourism, and saying thank you to the community that makes it all possible.
Giving Back
To show our appreciation, our team has launched a volunteer initiative – dedicating one afternoon each quarter to lend a helping hand to a local organization in need. Whether it’s supporting a community event, lending our skills to a local project, or simply showing up where extra help is needed, we’re committed to giving back in meaningful ways.
This initiative reflects our belief that strong communities are built through collaboration, compassion, and care – values that guide our work both on and off the waterfront.
